2/17 - To the hip hip hop, a you don't stop

The kids didn't have school and I didn't have work, so we hopped on over to the zoo.

And then we came to a stop...  Or a slow crawl, perhaps.

1/29 - Bullseye takes art class with Frog and Toad

They told him art takes a steady hand.  (Bulleye does not have hands!)
They told him art takes a clear head.  (Bulleye can do this!)
They told him art sometimes requires sweat and tears.  (This will make Bullseye rusty!)

Bullseye decided he would rather look at art instead.  Smart Bullseye.

Then we had dinner with Jeanine, who caught me up on all the news from my old job, and took Bullseye's name a bit literally...

12/18 - Snoopy pops to it

There is a popcorn machine on my floor at work today!  And the Legal Department had a holiday party this afternoon with eggnog and pastries.

I am liking this new job a lot! (I think I will ask Santa for a treadmill.)

Back at home, Jake was learning how to ride an expanding glow-in-the-dark swimming frog.  It's harder than it looks!  (That's what she said.)

4/18 - Tad is all over new seats and milkshakes

This morning, we got to ride in a BART car marked “New Seats inside!”  I think they were the same old seats, but they had been spruced up with new slipcovers and cushioning. Here, Tad does his best to show off the new seat covers.  Drum roll, please!

Jeanine talked us into going for milkshakes today.  (She didn't have to try too hard.)

I think it’s been about 4 years since I’ve had a milkshake.  Mine was the stripey one.  It was yummy!!

1/06 - David tries fishing with Squeaky Toy

Apparently, all he can catch are large frogs!

Look!  Squeaky Toy caught a horse.  We were NOT expecting that!

10/20 - Tiny Blue Giraffe finds a little too much urban nature

Tiny Blue Giraffe is ready for Halloween.  She likes the pumpkin Lil' Guy made for me. I do too – I brought it in to decorate my desk at work.  :)

Tiny Blue Giraffe found a black horse in the alley.  (Special thanks to David’s guest fingers for helping.)

The froggie fountain was open today.  A silly pigeon tried to go for a froggie ride and almost got wet when he fell off!

Tiny Blue Giraffe felt an earthquake!   Our whole building shook – yay for vintage architecture!  Did you guys feel it?  Did you have an earthquake drill this morning at school?  Just in time!

After work bonus:  A second earthquake!  Did someone forget to tell the fault lines that the Great Shakeout is only a drill?!  (Whose fault is it, anyway?)

9/20 - Robot Bird goes puddle jumping

Robot Bird consulted the map, but did not see an X marking a treasure spot.  Just some bus lines.

These kids are statues at the park with the redwood trees and the fountain with the froggies by my work.  They are called “Puddle Jumpers.”  Robot Bird wanted to jump, too!

Since when does packaging need to point out that it’s recloseable as a selling point? Am I that much of a mess that I can’t even open a box without proper instruction? (It even tells me to “Open Other End” on the opposite side!)

The continuing saga of me vs. transportation to derby practice continues.  At work, a big need-it-now project came up, and I had to leave work late.  Then BART had delays due to a fire near a track.  Oh, and the air conditioning in our train car didn't work.  Sigh.

9/04 - Roller Derby Boot Camp, Day 2

No froggies in this pic. Just derby girls...  Sonia and Jax are in the center of the photo.

Pink Frog and Blue Frog took Sonia's skate for a little ride. Whee!

9/03 - Roller Derby Boot Camp, Day 1

It was 100+ degrees when we started skating at 9am.  We were glad for a lunch break and the chance to take off all our sweaty gear.

Can you see Pink Frog and Blue Frog on one of the kneepads? They skated around all day with me in my pocket. :)

Here we are waiting for Mexican food to take back to the hotel.

9/02 - Orange Jack appreciates art and a good egg salad sandwich

Lil' Guy tells me that today, OJ is a doggie.  He met a nice (albeit kinda creepy) M&M at Walgreens. I think the M&M was grouchy because someone put a sign on his mouth.  Maybe he was too chatty with the shoppers?

OJ and I saw this bus station poster (“Fog”) and liked it.  We also like how you can see the city street (and not me) in its reflection.

I had to indulge my Sentinel craving at lunchtime, and got the wonderful egg salad sandwich (with garlicky pickle).  NOM!

After work, I was off to a 2-day roller derby boot camp with Bonnie D. Stoir.  The kids gave me 2 froggies to take with me.  Here, we have our supplies... Now -- just need some sleep...

8/29 - First Day of Kindergarten (and a few Very Important Birthdays)

Pink Frog wanted to go to school too.  She liked the train ride in and thinks my desk is nice, but she wants to be a kindergarten kid like you guys. Hope you’re having fun today and learning new things!

Hey, those are not flies! (Pink Frog thinks the poppy seeds on my coleslaw are flies.)  Silly.  I would not pick flies at the salad bar!

A Very Happy Birthday to Grampy and to Linda!  We love you!

8/02 - Merm finds water and froggy friends

Merm and I took a moment on the way in to admire the fountain and shiny silver orbs in the lobby of my new work building. She wanted to go for a swim, but we didn’t want to be late (or get in trouble!)

This is a nice little park in the middle of the city with tall redwood trees and a nice splashing fountain for Merm.

This is a nice little sign about an old ship that used to be right in this spot where a tall building is now.
