6/13 - Dad Alien says congratulations! Twice, even!

We met up with the always lovely and newly wed Katelyn for lunch.  Congratulations!

And then, oh my goodness, the twins were finished with first grade!  Just like that!  W.O.W.  Congratulations, my sweeties!  You worked so hard this year.

6/12 - Dad Alien sees a rainbow

Rainbow flowers, to be exact.  Happy pride month!

6/11 - Dad Alien says, "As above, so below."

The workers were up, Dad Alien was down.  (I was taking the photo.  Guess that makes me next to.)

Now Dad Alien wants to be a monster. I think he’d be a good one, don’t you?

6/10 - Strange creatures study Dad Alien

They could not decide who was the alien!

3/07 - Alienist is the bow tie on this monkey suit

That’s not just a suit – it’s the full monkey!

Alienist was called to time travel.  He took this picture of him trying to phone home.

11/21 - Aliens in the mist

Here is Sneep in the mist.  Or in our midst.

Thanksgiving turkey was very thankful that aliens do not eat turkeys with hats.  Phew!

10/03 - Cyclops Alien feels the fall

It’s pumpkin season!  Look what I found at the store!  Pumpkin breakfast bars.  NOM.  Cyclops Alien and I thought they were quite tasty, but a little dry.

Work was really busy today and I missed the last day of the heatwave, but I got to take it all out at derby practice.  #feelingthefall  Derby makes everything better.  :)

9/13 - Dolphin and Race Car #8 meet some interesting characters

We had lunch with Rebecca and Charlotte today.  It was a nice sunny day, and we ate on a rooftop garden. Charlotte and I rescued a worm that was wiggling on the hot cement and put him in some nice shady ivy. Hope he’s OK.

Some of the characters I saw at lunch were a little too interesting, so I didn’t take their photos. Dolphin and Race Car #8 liked these guys we found zooming around on the sides of trucks.

This one looked a little sad, but he wouldn't say why.

6/13 - Sneep drools at the thought of working escalators

Here is a picture of the escalator repairman and the newspaper guy that tries really hard to get me to take a paper every morning.  (Hint:  Smacking it in my face will not help your cause.)

Sneep says hi to you:  "SNEEP SNORP!"

At lunch, Sneep found some tentacle friends.  Do you remember seeing this octopus at the aquarium?  Sneep thought he was another alien at first.

Then Sneep thought the alien in my building’s lobby was so silly for being upside down.

3/23 - The Alienist wonders what "pipe pigging" could be

We saw this on the side of a plumbing truck and were intrigued!

Alienist shouted, "Pig Pile!" I guess he really should say “Piglet Pile!”

3/21 - TorTay the alien robot likes skyscrapers and construction

It was a nice sunny day in the city today.  I even took off my scarf!!

TorTay wanted to help drive the crane (?), but he didn’t have an Earth driver’s license.  Poor TorTay.

TorTay is a scofflaw... Or maybe he is not good at reading in English.

10/12 - Lady Alien likes a blue uniform

There were lots of police officers, police motorcycles, and police cars in my work neighborhood today. Lady Alien was happy to see them keeping everyone safe.

My favorite lunchtime park was locked up today, so Lady A. and I had to gaze at it from behind bars. She said, "Free the trees!"  Sadly, nobody heard her tiny alien voice but me.

8/30 - Dad Alien thinks he found his spaceship

He was ready to go home to his planet, but the spaceship was really a fire hydrant… So he’s still here with me at work.  Zorp.

We had lunch with new work friend Kari today. She has a cute little doggie at her house named Fido!

Kindy update:  The twins are still loving school!  Yay!!

5/27 - Giant DC Robot eats everything

Whenever Mama has an empty Diet Coke box, it becomes a giant robot with an insatiable appetite.

The next time you can't find your keys, ask the DC Robot...

3/22 - Introducing.... Gleep!

Gleep sees numbers all around us.  These were on the back of a truck.  Do you recognize any of them?  Can you count in alien?  Gleep can! Urk, Sneep, Tribble, Honk, Glurp...

Gleep will now demonstrate his interpretation of a traditional Thai dance.

3/07 - Lady Alien wants to take a ride

Lady Alien can't wait for Easter -- chocolate, bunnies, and decorating eggs.  Glorp beep snozz!

Campbell and Lady Alien liked the pink Vespa.

2/10 - Green Alien wants to send me to Mars

The movie poster says "Mars needs Moms" and Green Alien tried to get me onto the spaceship.  Silly me -- I took the train into work instead.  (I would miss you guys too much if I went all the way to Mars!)

Illegal Green Alien has gone native.  She says, "I'm a Californian!  I have the sticker to prove it."  Next, she'll want to run for governor...

Sad note:  My BART station is in the middle of the highway.  When I got there tonight, there were a bunch of police cars surrounding someone covered head to toe in a tarp.  Life is short -- sometimes shorter than you intend.  Hug your kids and the people you love every chance you get.

2/09 - Green Alien turns pirate

Boxer Alien told Green Alien she should go for a sail on the pirate ship at Mommy's desk, so she did.  Beep Glorp Yarrrrrrrr!

It was mayhem at the burger joint today.  Apparently they accepted a takeout order for 200 burgers during the lunch rush, and then called all hands on deck to fulfill it, leaving the rest of us sitting at tables staring at mayo packets and getting madder and madder.

The burgers came after 1/2 hour (think one Bubble Guppies show) and much complaining from David. We did get a coupon for free burgers next time.  Gleep!

2/08 - Boxer Alien likes a rowdy meeting

It was very windy this morning in the city.  Alien Boxer tried to get a ride on a leaf as it was blowing by, but I stopped him from blowing away.  Phew!

Boxer Alien is a music lover.  When he saw this duo playing in the food court, he cheered and yelled out "Free Bird!" (Unfortunately, they do not take requests.)

Boxer Alien likes a rowdy meeting. He had lots to say! (I put him on mute and practiced my happy Zen face.)
