8/20 - Elephant gets a little fruity

So the thing with the free cookies?  Nancy is full service.  She brought me a cookie *and* an apple.  Brought the latter home for the kids because I am also good at sharing.  Fruit, anyway.

8/21 - Elephant wants the cookie, not the cold

My job seems to have a lot of cookies. So much so, that on the days where there are no free cookies, I get a little pouty.  (Do NOT have a problem. Could quit cookies whenever I wanted to. Just not today.)

Happily, new girl Heather has the same problem with fondness for cookies and is good at sharing.  We like her a lot.

3/19 - Buzz Lightyear asks Woody, "Which card do I have?"

But then Phanpy squirted some water in Woody’s eyes so he couldn’t give Buzz the answer.  Sillies!

3/18 - Phanpy goes for a swim

(Phanpy was very annoyed that I called him Flail yesterday! That is his special power, not his name!)

A coworker gave me a nice skull cup and some pretend cold coins for my desk’s pirate collection.  Phanpy thought he’d take a little dip.  Lucky for him, the cup was empty.  Pokemon cards should not get wet!

3/17 - Flail joins a pirate crew

Pirates have taken over my new desk!  (They are happy to be out of their box.)
They recruited Flail, who offered to use his trunk for backup cannon duty.

7/11 - Funbo finds a sign of the times

This is usually a “Next Bus” computer sign that tells people when the next bus will arrive. I guess it is broken...

At lunch, Funbo went motorcycle counting. How many do you see? Which one is your favorite? Do you recognize any of the parking space numbers on the ground?

I had to sit out today's derby practice (and last night's scrimmage) due to an injury from Monday's practice. Still, I felt bad for the grrrls that had to skate in the 103-degree heat, so I brought orange slices. Here's Mandaryn Crush enjoying her mandarin.

10/06 - Funbo's fountain

It must be Fleet Week in the city.  We see sailors walking around downtown in their uniforms and hear those wretched planes screeching around overhead. (It’s too cloudy to see them to do their fancy tricks today.)

Elephants love drinking water. And squirting it from their trunks.  I already got rained on today, so I told Funbo, “No thank you!”

10/05 - Taking the "fun" out of Funbo

Funbo and I are having quite a day! We got caught in the rain on the way to our 8am meeting (the first of 5 meetings today, plus a team lunch). Then the BART train had issues with its brakes and our whole train car smelled of burning rubber. I wonder what’s next?

Funbo taught a shiny lady how to do a little dance he invented called "the Elephant." You move your arms like a trunk. C’mon everyone, do the Elephant!

7/07 - Quake gets Piratitude

Piratitude* climbed to the top of the Giant Book Mountain and found all kinds of button booty.  Yarrrrrr!

At first, Piratitude thought he'd been grabbed by the Kraaken, but it was just Quake playing a little joke and turning him upside down.  (Unrelated: Lil' Guy is also upside down on the couch behind them.)

6/27 - Crane helps keep me organized

His charm and magnetism makes him the perfect helper for paper clip wrangling.  (Later, he became an elephant.  Magic, I tell you!)

Today was a full-blown Monday, after a hectic weekend of helping Linda move and a big derby practice.  I am little better than a zombie today, so my apologies.

In other news, the twins started their "summer kindergarten," which is a camp provided by our town to help kids prepare for the real deal in the fall.  We were so pleased that Lil' Guy did not cling or cry!  What a big boy!

6/24 - Elephant II finds words of wisdom in a stairwell

Elephant II found Frank Chu. This guy is always walking around with a sign that says silly things.  There's a green squid on the back of his sign today.

I think all stairwells should have reminders like this, don't you?

6/22 - Elephant the Tiny reminds us to hydrate

On hot days like these, it's important to take as many trunkfuls of water as you can.

4/20 - Elephant haz a cuddle

I guess he and Pirate Snoopy are getting along just fine.  Couldn't we all use more hugs at work?  (Actually, no thank you.)

We saw some booths set up for Earth Day at the food court.  This one had tiny trash/compost/recycle cans! (No, I cannot bring them home.)

3/18 - Raindrops keep falling on my trunk...

Elephant has a new friend.  This is Larry -- he sits across the aisle from me.  He and his wife have twins, too.  (They are big kids -- the twins, not Larry and his wife!)

1/28 - Blue skies for Elephant

Elephant and I were pleasantly surprised by blue skies and a bright yellow thing in the sky today.  Look!

You wouldn't believe the call I got from coworker Ann.  She asked if I had an iPatch.  No -- that was what I heard after all those headlines yesterday.  She wanted an EYE PATCH, like the pirates wear.  As it happened, I had a Deluxe Eye Patch that I was happy to lend to her poor injured AYE!  Er, eye.

We met up with Suzanne for lunch.  Happy belated birthday, my friend!

Today, my little helper was Elephant.  He helped me pick out a pen for our bazillion meetings.

Then, we had a shortened, rushed meeting with Campbell (who was very gracious about it all).

Finally, we hydrated, and headed for home.  Thanks, Elephant!
