7/30 - Darby hits the end of the line

Darby met some pretty sea turtles at the train station this morning.  Awwww.

We went to say goodbye to the old bus station.   The new bus station is across the street from my work -- it opens next week.  Here is a picture of us on one of the benches.

There used to be a diner there, and this is what it looked like (Photo: Jasna Hodzic / The Chronicle).  See the full story here:  http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/07/30/BA331EM16L.DTL.

7/29 - Roley finds a funny cat

Roley was inspired by the architecture at the Federal Reserve.

He also liked this silly cat in goggles.

7/28 - Spidey and the Super Web

Spidey found this "web" by the escalator at the train station in the city.  He wanted to climb and climb, but we had to get to work.

This is actually a ceiling with a LOT of windows at the food court.  Spidey thought it looked like a big web.

Michael made the spiders their very own web to play in!  Look how much fun they're having!  Thank you, Michael!

7/27 - Elephant the Tiny takes trumpet lessons

We looked on the computer to see how happy elephants on the beach trumpet out loud.  "Hrrannhhh!"  said Elephant the Tiny.  (We both want to be on the beach today!)

And along came a Spider... who frightened Tiny Elephant away.  (Actually, they got along quite well.  Elephant the Tiny gave Spider a piggyback ride!)

7/26 - Meena gives Mondays the boot

Someone left 1 boot on top of a trash can!  How silly is that?

While I was posing Meena with the pirate band-aid box, I noticed it said "Free Treasure Inside!"  So I looked.  Much to my surprise, there was a tiny monkey in a fez in there!  Who knew??

7/23 - Cheetah loves bi bim bap

Cheetah sings, "Numbers... All around us... Numbers...  Cheetah found numbers on a bus and on a flatbed tow truck.  Do you know what they are?  How many numbers do you see?  (For those who don't know the song, it's from "Team Umizoomi."  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Umizoomi)

We had veggie bi bim bap for lunch.  Yummmmmm.

7/22 - Tiny Gorilla washes windows (in his dreams)

Tiny Gorilla saw these window washers and wanted to get a job washing windows like Curious George.  (We went to my less exciting job instead.)

Lunch time!  NOM NOM NOM!!

** After hours bonus! **
Mama could not figure out why the printer kept jamming.  This caused a few trips to Kinko's during our refinancing, for the record.  A closer look found that there was a gremlin involved -- an alien gremlin!

7/21 - Diego and the giant centipede

Diego rescued a giant centipede at my desk.  (It was suffering from "too many meetingitis.")  Go, Diego, Go!

Diego was ready for adventure when he got to Pesto Lake. He did not find any animals to rescue -- just some gnocchi to eat.  NOM!

7/20 - Buster gets schooled

Buster saw this card on my desk and wanted to go to doggy school.

We took 2 photos at lunch, but my phone will only send 1 to my computer.  Silly phone.  Here is Buster with fog rolling in behind him.  It's cold in the city today!

Update 7/21 - The photo finally came in!  3 times, in fact!  Here it is!

7/19 - NeNe the Giraffe wants to join the circus

The circus is coming to town!  Let's go!!

NeNe found a number for you guys.  Can you tell which one it is?

NeNe and the Last Collections -- another great band name!

7/16 - Snake Puppet snacks on Spider

Spider said, "Ouch!  I am not a snack!"
Snake Puppet sssssssssssaid, "Ssssssssssssssssssssssorry!"

Later, we photograph Snake Puppet and the New Hats.  (Sounds like a swing band, doesn't it?)
I had lunch with Suzanne, who got some great new sun hats for the twins.  Ashley and Snake Puppet tried them on.  How do they look?

7/15 - Widget and Wubzy watch me work

Not an especially exciting photo, but it reminds me what Lil' Guy said when I told him it wasn't a weekend. (I'm working from home today.)

"We could build a robot to do your work and then you can play toys with us!"

Wouldn't that be great?  Let's get Widget on it right away!

7/14 - Flapasaurus the Tiny meets the birthday fairy

Tiny and I have had a lot of meetings today, so we didn't get many pictures done.  We had a very quick lunch with Rosemary, who gave me this nice birthday card.

Tiny liked the shapes and colors in this poster by Mommy's desk. Who knew he was a fan of abstract art?

7/13 - Handy gets a grip

... on my water bottle.

Handy and I lunched with a goddess -- a Greek Goddess Salad, that is.  Yum!  Opa!

We used the muddy and a robot face to make him into a whole person!  Hi!!

(Handy is Mr. Potato Head's arm, BTW.)

7/12 - Learning letters with Jimmie

Jimmie and I saw letters (all around us!) this morning.  Do you know which letters these R?

Mommy's computer is not working very well today.  We have to keep restarting it. I wish Widget could build a Computer-Fixer 3000 to help.

7/09 - Flapasaurus is rolling in da money

Flapasaurus found a friend at the train station.  It's the dinosaur from the Toy Story movie!  What number is he trying to eat?

My silly work friends decorated my desk for my birthday!  They even broke out the ol' cash confetti -- it's everywhere!  (And will be for months.)

AND! The silly work friends got me a cake with piratitude!!  Yarrrr!  Yum!

7/08 - Run, Tinkerbell! He's right behind you!!

I love it when things in my bag make for a coordinated photo!  (Not that Tinkerbell is a thing, mind you.)

The SPCA had some kitties that are looking for homes by the food court today.  This one sniffed Tinkerbell's hair.  (I am not bringing a kitten home.  Lil' Guy is allergic.  I'm sorry.)

Tink wasn't looking where she was walking and almost fell in the muck! Happily, her wings flew her to safety, and her little tootsies are all nice and clean now.

7/07 - Dino does dirty

If you put Dino in the "muddy," he can stand up!  Dino says "Roar!!"  He likes the mud between his toesies.

At lunchtime, he thought there was a parade when he saw the marching band flute player on a poster!  (Thanks to Ashley's special Guest Hand!)

Dino likes chocolate cake.  So does Mommy.  Neither of us like meetings.

Later, Dino was Ally's special helper when Mommy got a haircut.  Way to go, Dino!

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

7/06 - Pooh Bear gets a buzz

Silly ol' Pooh thought this carved wooden piece might be a honey pot, but it most certainly was not.

Later, we caught a Buzz (Lightyear) at lunchtime.

7/05 - Dinosaurs in the fridge

The best Mondays are those spent at home with family and not in a stinking meeting.  (Happy 4th of July!)

Today, in the excitement of harvesting tomatoes from the garden, Lil' Guy left his Parasaurolophus next to the tomato plant.  When we retrieved it, it was "too hot."  To avert a meltdown (Lil' Guy, not the dino), Mama put him in the fridge (dino, not Lil' Guy).  Everybody thought this was completely ridiculous, which it was.

David sent us a picture of a windmill where you can have soup.  Windmill soup?
