12/23 - Max and the field of cookies

Max helped me get cookies ready to give to my new work friends.  He was a good helper, except when he tried to eat all the cookies!  (I can’t blame him.)
Don’t worry – there are still plenty left for us to enjoy!

12/20 - Eeyore did not win the ugly sweater contest

He didn't have an ugly sweater.  But it didn't matter anyway.
These ladies did!
Peggy tried to play reindeer games with Eeyore, but he said, "No thank you.  I'd probably lose anyway."

12/19 - Snoopy does the can can

Today was the 4th floor's holiday celebration.  We had all kinds of desserts and a gift exchange.  I was able to steal this nice canister set for my very own.  (Am I fully fested in this company yet?)

12/18 - Snoopy pops to it

There is a popcorn machine on my floor at work today!  And the Legal Department had a holiday party this afternoon with eggnog and pastries.
I am liking this new job a lot! (I think I will ask Santa for a treadmill.)

Back at home, Jake was learning how to ride an expanding glow-in-the-dark swimming frog.  It's harder than it looks!  (That's what she said.)

12/17 - Snoopy goes postal

Snoopy and I went to the post office today to mail some packages.  He felt boxed in, and then was surprised to see himself upside down and feeling a little green!

Meanwhile, at home, Jake found himself a new crew of mateys.

12/16 - Free breakfast makes Snoopy do a happy dance

Our building got a prize for being good for the environment and they wanted to wish us happy holidays, so there was free breakfast in the lobby.  We got nice pastries, coffee, and a shiny mug to put it in.  Yay!

12/13 - Woody says, "Who are you calling busted, Buster?"

Today, we had our team holiday lunch at a fancy restaurant.  Woody thought he might be able to rustle up some bread or maybe some of that pizza...
But Mellisa caught him red-handed!  Busted!

12/12 - Shoveling Snowman falls in line

If I had the opportunity to be surrounded by delicious chocolate bears, I’d line right up too.
And then eat them all!  NOM!
And then I would not be invited back to chocolate land…

12/11 - Shoveling Snowman wishes on a falling star

In this case, it was the welcome balloon at my desk, but I still hope his wish comes true.
(Do you think he wished for feet?  One of my friends thinks Lil' Gal should invent him some!)

12/10 - Shoveling Snowman knows something's afoot

We went to the foot doctor today.  He says my foot is doing well, but it is still heeling (ha!).
Shoveling Snowman was very interested in how feet work, especially because he does not have any!
We also got to have dinner with the lovely Ashley, who is always such a good sport about these photos.  :)

12/09 - Shoveling Snowman gets the runaround

Shoveling Snowman got to see all the fun sights on my floor.  Here he is on the treadmill desk, which was really hard for him because he does not have feet.
And here he is with the floor’s snow globe collection, where people bring back snow globes from the places they visit on vacation.  Shoveling Snowman felt right at home!

12/06 - Diny the Saur gets a sugar buzz

Diny the Saur and I enjoyed our first cake at the new office today.  Its pastel frosting was a bit unnerving (as are baby showers), but it tasted fine.
Then Diny got all crazy on me and tried unplugging all the cords on my laptop.  Bad dino!

12/05 - Dodo has a fire in his belly

We were hungry, but new work fancy phone wanted an upgrade.  Dodo and I liked the graphic it showed during the upgrade.
Then we tried to get a sandwich from the place across the street, and ordered well ahead of our 1pm meeting. Only too bad for us, because the sandwich place had a system crash and lost our order.  Only they didn't tell us this until we asked a second time for status -- after waiting 40 minutes!  Then there was apparently no way to get anything right away but soup, which was on the house.
Ah, well.  At least we got to introduce ourselves to the vending machines.

12/04 - Dodo gets the cold shoulder

There was frost on the windshield this morning!  Brrrr!!

At least we could warm up with a yummy veggie potato gratin lunch thingy from the company cafeteria.  Nom!

12/03 - Dodo and Peggy like noodles

It was a noodley kind of day, so Peggy and I went out to find some. Nom!
I guess that made Dodo feel kinda canoodley, because he started hanging out under the mistletoe...

12/02 - Dodo finds good fortune

And he really liked my new work!  What's not to like about a jar full of candy, a blue star balloon, and a nice big desk?

We also got a fortune that was a fortune.  Duly noted.

11/28 - Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for friends, family, and feet. (I have been without crutches for one week!) I am also thankful for pie.

First Matey and I attempted to make a "faux pecan pie" that the tree nut allergy folks in this family can enjoy.  We used my family recipe instead of the one that inspired me here.
And as soon as I digest dinner a bit, I'll let you know how it went.  It sure looks pretty!
And happy pie is happy.  For now...  Bwahahaha...

11/27 - First Matey fuels up and finds friends

First Matey likes his lattes fancy!  Avast!
Then, First Matey found 'Mater and some friends.  Ho, ho, huh?

11/22 - Dino finds some darling clementines

Who would think, after last night's windstorm, that we'd find a brand new rose in the backyard?
Oh my darling, oh my darling, oh my darling Clementine.  And Clementine.  And Clementine...

11/21 - Suction Hero says "Huh?"

Dear Boss - We know where Grampa (?) is, Boss.

Love,
Toothy Monster?

11/19 - Guess I lost my head a bit

I guess if you find yourself down a job and up a foot injury, one might let one's blog grow a cobweb or two.  Whoopsie.  Anyone still here?  Hello?

Let's pretend that I *will* post the pix I've been taking but didn't post because the blog wasn't caught up, and just take it from here, shall we?  Soon enough we shall have more work pix, fret not.

Today's big activities were walking on two feet in slippers (!) and getting my hair cut.  Suction Hero came with me.  Note: This is not my actual head/haircut.

Summer Vacation 2013: Country Fair Time

We do love us a country fair.  So off we went!
They had me at pig races... (which also featured bonus weiner dogs dressed in hot dog costumes!)
We looked at animals...  These must be part of the Sheep Witness Protection ProgrAAAAm.
 Um. Nice?
Psst...  Sweet piggies...  Be really glad you can't read.
 Baby possums!  Squee!!
The peeps are peeping out!
Please do not win a cow.
You may, however, pet one.  This one's name was Pumpkin.
We saw all kinds of vehicles and "rode" tractors...

There was digger dancing...  Oh, yes.  You heard me.

You'd like to see a video?  OK.  I am so good to you.
Click here to see digger dancing on Vimeo.

We also broke boards and ate all kinds of fried food.  NOM.
Yep.  We had a grand old time.
