1/31 - Thomas the Tank Engine says, "Little Engines can do Big Things!"

Thomas went sightseeing in my office and thought it would be lovely to drive across the London Bridge.  Peep peep! (I am not sure about Lil' Gal's bow on him. Do you think he looks dapper?)

Later, we found a pile of Very Old Phones.  Thomas offered to take them to the scrapyard, but I think my coworkers had other plans for them.  Thomas was just trying to be Useful. They thanked him for his help.

1/14 - Mario ruins it

Mario was so excited to see the Coliseum, one of the most famous places in Italy, right here at work.  He did a jump and a “Woo hoo!

12/16 - Free breakfast makes Snoopy do a happy dance

Our building got a prize for being good for the environment and they wanted to wish us happy holidays, so there was free breakfast in the lobby.  We got nice pastries, coffee, and a shiny mug to put it in.  Yay!

4/23 - Bat Ring and I spy some silly things at lunch

The first is a dangerous potty.  It must be dangerous, otherwise why would it need a guard?

The second was a new restaurant called Skewers, where they grill shisk-a-bobs.  But apparently not very well…  Looks like they had a kitchen fire before anybody even heard about them.

And finally, we saw signs saying that the Transamerica Building was now open!  New tourist site!  Bat Ring and I were excited at the thought of going to the tippity top and looking around the city, but what was open was actually a gift shop.  It did show videos about the Transamerica Building and the views from way up high, but we didn’t have time to watch them today.  Here, Bat Ring pretends he flew to the top.

11/20 - Bullet did not get the memo about Green Sweater Day

Bullet does not want to be a work of art.  This frilly frame on a building made him feel penned in, so he zoomed away, faster than a speeding bullet.

Then he surprised a dragon, who ran off in fright.

Jeanine and I wore the same thing to work today!  How funny is that?

10/05 - Inch the Inchworm finds a stripey friend

It was a ladder on a truck! (Yes, Inch looks a lot like Tigger’s tail.  He hears that all the time.  Inchworms can be stripey too!  Lil' Guy told me so.)  Lil' Guy was right!

We walked/inched around at lunchtime.  When we looked up, we saw redwoods and a beautiful California blue sky.

When we looked down, we saw a removable wall filled with construction project stuff.  I was hoping that store was going to be a restaurant, but the sign says it will be a 7-11.  Meh.

Cupcakes for my derby team's car wash/bake sale are ready.  Want one?

9/28 - Pupster and the serious walrus twins

Pupster saw these funny walruses and wanted to play tug of war with their rope, but they were very serious and did not want to play.

The flower arrangement in the lobby had some fall leaves in it.  Such pretty colors!

9/14 - Fly Guy and the Daisy Susans

We couldn’t decide if this plant was some kind of daisy or a brown-eyed susan, so we just called her Daisy Susan.   She didn’t seem to mind.

San Francisco is famous for its crooked street, but did you know it has some small crooked buildings as well?  (Let’s not get started on all the crooked and bent people that live here.  That is not a topic for children.)

9/04 - Pink Yoshi finds a wonder window

Today, Pink Yoshi was seeking success.  This dragon had some ideas about how it’s done.  I did not know dragons were big on teamwork, but you learn something new every day.

This window was set in a very thick wall, and was very dramatic.  We liked it!

We also found a cute Dalmatian for Lil' Gal.

8/29 - Fly Guy is disguised as a regular fly on the wall

He sure picked a pretty building to do it.  This is the Hearst Building.

Fly Guy tried to check Bob’s watch for the time, but I think Bob was a little surprised…

8/10 - Dalmatian Dog and things with wheels

Dalmatian Dog saw a double decker bus and a green trolley car at lunch, in front of the famous Flatiron Building.

Then he saw a big spool of wire.  Curiously, it had a sign on it that said, “Please recycle this.”  It’s huge!  How do you fit it in the blue bin??

7/20 - Mack finds pirates and a snake lady

Mack wanted to race the trolley down California Street, but he was startled by its “Ding ding!” chatter.

Who knew we’d find such Goth stuff in the Financial District?

7/09 - Love Bear gets some clip-on earrings

Doesn’t she look pretty? (David took us out for birthday grilled cheese sammiches.)

Love Bear loves a pretty bridge. Who doesn’t, really?

Speaking of love, isn't the princess water bottle present from Lil' Guy super sweet?

6/27 - Princess Daisy says, "Don't lose your head over it!"

Princess Daisy is as pretty as a flower. (Or she would be if she had a head…)

This building had reflections of the building next door’s windows on it. I liked how they were all pink and wavy, not at all like a real window.

The pub across the street is showing the soccer championship games, and people were crowded inside and outside to watch at lunchtime.

6/18 - Baby giraffe finds fog and a tall triangle

This BART Police officer was much taller than Baby Giraffe, even when he stretched his neck waaaaay up.

He stretched his neck again, but he still wasn’t as tall as the Transamerica Building. Sweet little Baby Giraffe and his stretch goals…

6/07 - Mario and the super skinny building

This is the famous Flatiron Building.  Isn’t it cute?

We saw a really groovy bus on the way to lunch.  The driver said it was a Magic Bus.  Dude.

5/31 - Mario tries to catch a flying pizza

Looks like there’s a new Madagascar penguin movie coming out…  It looks silly!

The weather was so nice today, Mario and I decided to take a quick stroll toward North Beach.  He saw this pepperoni pizza and tried to catch it, but the flying baby was too fast.

Mario's other lunch finds:
This funny guy was giving a tour of the neighborhood to some people.  I’m not sure why he was wearing that outfit…

 We found a really cute little alley, lined with cute old brick buildings.  Mario liked the red and green bricks on this one.

5/29 - Koopa Troopa is sad that Mommy's phone will not send pictures today

I will have to show you the pictures on the phone when I get home.  :(

Here is Koopa Troopa with a nice SF postcard featuring the Bay Bridge (and an orange? Or is that an Angry Bird?).

Koopa Troopa was feeling shy without his shell, so I took him to Shell Corner (who knew?), where he tried on a new one. Doesn't that look nice?

4/11 - Hot Dog sounds the alarm

Hot Dog and I noticed a very large vent marked “Burglar Alarm” on a nearby building.  I guess it makes quite a loud sound if there are burglars?  (Yikes!)

Another building had a stern warning about playing with the gate.  (We did not play with the gate.)

Mama sent me this project Lil' Gal did with the hair stuff -- it's Mickey Mouse!
