5/15 - Plate of Carrots strikes gold!

POC found some miners panning for gold.  Usually carrots shy away from pans, but POC wanted to learn how it was done.

And look!  Plate of Carrots ended up being the golden treasure.  How on earth did that happen?

3/04 - Alienist takes a ride on the Pony Express

Jenifer and I found some history during our lunch walk.  These signs show the spot where the Pony Express first came to San Francisco.

7/18 - Doggie with Frisbee skates the half pipe

Doggie with Frisbee thought my breakfast banana looked like part of a skate park, so he went for a ride. Wheee!! Woof!

At lunch, Doggie with Frisbee found an important site in banking history. This was the very first Bank HQ in California, started by a man from Italy. Mario and Luigi should be proud.

3/26 - Simon finds a FiDi fixer-upper

Simon thought this newspaper box might make a nice little house for him, but I told him it was a money pit.

I’ve walked by this section of Market Street a zillion times, and I never noticed this plaque until Simon pointed it out to me.  Who knew San Francisco played such a key role in slot machine history?  http://www.noehill.com/sf/landmarks/cal0937.asp

11/16 - Ping and the 99 bottles of dust on the wall

My new work building has a little museum in the front lobby, displaying artifacts from old San Francisco.  Here are some pretty bottles. And pretty Ping, of course!

There was a stealth lion peeking out from the cappuccino machine at our lunch place!  Eeek!

Silly Julie thinks that Ping is a lollipop! Don’t worry – she didn’t really.  She was just pretending.  See how Ping is still smiling?
