Octopus takes the train

When Octopus saw this train on Loud Coworker's desk, she wanted to go for a ride. Since Loud Coworker had left for the day, I said OK. I had no idea she would yell out "Whee! Choo Choo!" I suppose that makes *us* the loud coworkers...

2/06 - Thomas wishes you a happy new year

Again, with the belated...  Gung Hay Fat Choy!  Looks like folks at work were celebrating.

Thomas and I went for a lunchtime stroll and he found somewhere to park while I grabbed a sandwich. Blends right in, doesn't he?

2/05 - Thomas and the cast of one

Tonight we got to take David out for a belated birthday dinner and sign his cast.  Which was quite complicated with a ballpoint pen, but we do what we can with what we have on hand.  (Which, for David, was a cast.)

2/04 - Thomas is not on the right track

Thomas liked this bright red track, but the sign told him to get a move on.

He thought the next tracks looked more his style, but they were only shadows.

2/03 - Thomas found my people!

Every good workplace has a little bit of piracy in it, and Thomas found ours.  Avast!

1/31 - Thomas the Tank Engine says, "Little Engines can do Big Things!"

Thomas went sightseeing in my office and thought it would be lovely to drive across the London Bridge.  Peep peep! (I am not sure about Lil' Gal's bow on him. Do you think he looks dapper?)

Later, we found a pile of Very Old Phones.  Thomas offered to take them to the scrapyard, but I think my coworkers had other plans for them.  Thomas was just trying to be Useful. They thanked him for his help.

9/21 - Caboose has breakfast for lunch

Today, there were free bagels.  Today, there was also a morning full of meetings. It took me until lunchtime to get one, but I did finally enjoy my bagel!

We didn’t get to see the space shuttle this morning (too many meetings), but we did pop up to the rooftop garden for some fresh air before heading into Meeting #5.  Ahhhhhh.

12/01 - Trainee sings "Blow the Man Down"

I know, I’m mixing transportation with pirate songs, but if you consider train robbers as land pirates, it kinda works.  Or I need more sleep.  It was so windy today, I thought my hair was on backwards when I got to work! Things were blown over all around.  Here, a parking sign and a newspaper box were on their sides.

At lunch, Trainee found a Mexican doggie... And David!

Trainee heard Rachel say "Achoo!" and thought she was talking to him.  Poor Rachel is getting a cold and is all bundled up – inside at work!  Let’s send her get-well thoughts.

1.  How the heck is it December already?
2.  There are still way too many leaves at the BART station.  It looks like my front yard, minus the caution tape.  And steps. And BART-branded trash bags.

11/30 - Little Choo loves fire engines and the holidays

She was so happy to see that the firefighters decorated the station –and the fire engine!– for the holidays.

Little Choo wants to fly with Santa. Or ride with him in a car.  Or on a motorcycle!  The Oracle Santas sure do know how to get around.

So does Mommy’s hair…  It’s very windy today and I look a bit like the Heat Miser in this picture.

Speaking of wind, look at all the leaves at the train station tonight!  I guess all the raking we did over the weekend will be undone by tomorrow...

6/17 - Duckie practices fire safety

Duckie found a train car and jumped for joy!  Quack!  "Choo choo!"

Today, we went to a special class taught by fire fighters, to help us be safe in emergency situations.  We even got to see them put out a little fire.

Tomorrow's the start of the NorCal Pirate Festival!!!  Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

3/01 - Warthog/Dartdog Dinosaur reduces train fares

My Translink card is acting up again.  It lets me into BART, but won't let me out! W/D Dino tried to help by chewing it to bits. (I think he mistook it for a big leaf!)

W/D Dino liked how this flower had the same kind of shape as his head.

Bonus:  We had a nice dinner with Rosemary!

1/19 - Birthday Train does loop de loops

Lil' Guy and Lil' Gal are 5 years old!!

Choo choo!! Birthday Train says "Happy birthday to you!"  He says you guys are on track to have a great 5th year.  :)

Birthday Train wanted to be a birthday rollercoaster and tried to ride upside down on the electrical bus wires.  Whee!

4/29 - Buster and Roo are on board

Buster and Roo took a ride around the study while Mama and I wheezed and the twins ran circles around us.

12/01 - All aboard!

Clarabel got to go out solo today, which must've been a big treat for her.  Here, she dreams of riding on the BART rails.

At lunch, we got to see three (3) trolleys!  Clarabel sat on one that was parked.
