Every day, my 12th grade twins give me a toy to bring to work. I send home pictures of how the toy is "helping" me, and then save them to this blog. (OK, obviously, we are not really doing this anymore. Teenagers, amiright?) It definitely makes work more fun. For me -- I can't speak for the poor toy. Please do not use any of my images or writing without contacting me for permission.

1/30 - I C U, Bullseye
1/29 - Bullseye takes art class with Frog and Toad
They told him art takes a steady hand. (Bulleye does not have hands!)
They told him art takes a clear head. (Bulleye can do this!)
They told him art sometimes requires sweat and tears. (This will make Bullseye rusty!)
Bullseye decided he would rather look at art instead. Smart Bullseye.
* Spelling words in bold.
[fun note for grownups -- the original photo had Frog (or Toad?) male-enhanced by some nice tagger in the BART station. I have since made the photo suitable for younger viewers.]
Then we had dinner with Jeanine, who caught me up on all the news from my old job, and took Bullseye's name a bit literally...

7/03 - Fergus attempts work/life balance
First, Fergus balanced a good luck block from Lil' Guy on his head.
Then, he decided my work pen was a good stick for playing fetch.
And then! Sheldon (yellow shell) came out of his molting lair, looking every bit the zombie hermit crab after two weeks underground. He drank a bunch of water, chirped to Linda, and back under he went. Bye, Sheldon!

7/30 - Little Lego Dog wants a package
She couldn’t understand why there would be three FedEx trucks and yet no packages for a little doggie.
Little Lego Dog loves numbers. She practiced her counting on the elevator. One bark for 1, two barks for 2, three barks for 3… (The other people in the elevator might have been angry, but she had such a tiny little bark, they barely heard her.)

5/04 - Ninjago wants to go up, up, and away
He tried to sneak on for a hot air balloon ride, but it was only a picture on the side of a truck.
Congratulations to Lil' Guy on his award today for being friendly and cooperative!! I am so proud of you! Has Lil' Gal's wiggly tooth come out yet?
Apparently, it’s my one-year twitterversary today! (Who knew?) I was going to treat myself to a cupcake, but then things got very busy. So Ninjago and I raided the snack drawer. Isn’t he a good helper?

4/26 - Yellow Head meets the Bacon Man
Yellow Head and the giant purple rain drops... OK, these were not really rain drops. (Thank goodness!) We had a team lunch at a place with lots of pretty glass decorations. These were hanging like a curtain.
Apparently, Bacon Man and his friend Eggy are farmers…?
And then, tragedy struck. You'll note that Yellow Head clearly has a head in the photo above. Yet, when I pulled him out of my pocket at work... gulp... Somehow his head was missing. I ran outside, retracting my steps... Nothing. Poor Yellow Head. My only hope is that I find another yellow head in the Lego bin when I get home, without Lil' Gal noticing. In the meantime, here is headless Yellow Head, (not) looking at a bunch of bikes.

11/15 - Lego Dog considers piracy
Lego Dog thought about becoming a pirate, but when he saw the size of Lil' Gal's parrot, he reconsidered. (He is a very smart Lego/dog.)
At lunch, he saw a comet! Actually, it was a statue by David Middlebrook.
Derby update: Tonight, we had practice in Yo Juana Kiss Me's lighted cul-de-sac. It was the first time many of us skated on asphalt, and it was 48 degrees when we left. Still, it was nice to see stars between my skates as I did leg lifts in the middle of the street. Go ahead, call us hard core... or low budget.

11/08 - Woodstock's Racing Car
Here is Woodstock in his new Lego racing car. Thank you, Grandmother! (Where does that extra piece go??!)
Here is evidence of the mail carrier's bad attitude... We are guilty of trying to seal up the mail slot that dumps mail in to the garage storage space we rarely enter. We are guilty of having a new-fangled front door mail slot that won't let cold air into the house and requires some extra fortitude to coax the mail through it. We are guilty of installing a new screen door that most be opened before encountering the mail slot of fortitude. But still. This?
And, finally. A use for those pine cones!

10/25 - Bitty Boom and Little Lego study the speed of light and sound
Bitty Boom liked the sound of jackhammers tearing up the sidewalk, and chimed right in. “Boom! Crash!’’ Boom!”
Little Lego was interested in the worker changing the big light bulbs on the kiosk. He started singing “You light up my life.”
Bitty Boom and Little Lego were excited to see a Halloween car on the street. Their new friend Boo gave them a ride. He was really nice! (This is only a decoration! It’s blown up with hot air.)
At the train station on the way home (thank you, BART, for more delays), I saw what appeared to be a class for guide dogs and their owners. Here they are, learning how to cross the street. Who knew they travel in packs?

5/10 - Lego Police Officer goes postal
No worries -- Lego Police Officer is just trying to help, getting my interoffice mail ready to go.
We (meaning me) love this book: "How to Draw a Radish." And LPO loves keys of all kinds. Look how big his keyring is! Lock 'em, up, Danno! He says, "Um. My name's not Danno."
