12/24 - BowlMouth finds a winter wonderland

It’s very quiet downtown today.  Most of the stores have closed early, and the streets are all but empty.

This is the elevator lobby of a building where I used to work (you haven’t been there with me).  They put up fake brick walls and hung icicles from the lights and put snow and penguins everywhere!  I hardly recognized the place.

Look how cute you guys are getting ready for Santa!

9/30 - Weekend fun: Large mouse edition

The highlight of last weekend was Archer's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  Lil' Gal had been begging to go there for.ever.  I hadn't ever been to one with kids (those crazy college days).  So the day had finally come for those two milestones to line up.  The kids had a great time with their BFFs.  I got to follow a large mouse around in a conga line and talk to some adults.  #winning

We also had fun wearing old Halloween costumes around the house.

And riding bikes/skating at the basketball court of the nearby school.  Until we melted.

7/26 - Rico appreciates municipal art

We wondered where the ATM stencils in this truck were going to be used, then we saw the fresh paint across the street. Turns out they were MTA (Municipal Transportation Agency) stencils.

Brooke tried to teach Rico to fly, but everybody knows penguins can’t fly. He still liked the lesson. Wheee!!

6/22 - Pink Penguin haz a happy

This motorcycle guy had a smiley face on his pants leg. How funny! It made Pink Penguin smile too.

Pink Penguin tried to teach Cutie Bird to ice skate. She slipped on the desktop, and Pink Penguin asked, “Are you OK?!” Cutie Bird said, “I meant to do that!”

4/27 - Penguin Pete tries to catch flying potato chip fish

They were even faster once the van started moving!

At lunch, Penguin Pete gave Gio a peck on the cheek.  Not a real peck with his beak!  A little smooch, that’s all.

1/12 - Waiter! There's a pink penguin in my soup!

We saw Toy Story characters on the bus and Pinkie Penguin wanted to go for a ride with them.  But we went to work instead.  Sorry, Pinkie!

Pinkie and I went to a team lunch today, and she hopped onto the waiter’s tray for a ride.  Penguins are silly!

1/11 - Pinkie Penguin picks pistachio

This little skate pin was just the right size for Pinkie to take a ride around my desk.  Whee!!

We went to check out the new bakery/sandwich shop in the neighborhood.  They had rows and rows of pretty cookies. (We did not partake.  This time.)

Pinkie Penguin and I went to a party after work. Pinkie thought the cake pops looked like eggs and wanted to try to hatch them.  (The pink ones were red velvet – yum.)

And then!  Pinkie found some friends at the party.  These little doves cooed and made laughing sounds when they saw us.  (Hey!  My 80’s outfit wasn’t THAT funny!)

11/14 - Tiny Pirate Duck finds a frosty crew

Looks like shop windows are starting to get geared up for Christmas.  This one had a penguin parade!

Little Pirate Duck likes Mommy's new glasses. Look how they turn into sunglasses in the sunshine! (Pirate Duck is also jealous that Mommy has two working eyes.)

Mommy also has two weary legs -- derby practice was quite the workout last night.  I understand now why they're called "leg burners."  Youch.

10/26 - Nico is on a motorcycle -- on a truck!

The motorcycle was going for a ride on the truck, and Nico wanted to ride them both.  But we had to get back to work.

Nico found these baby penguins, who wanted to do a dance with him.  They should all be in the movies, I tell ya.

7/22 - Glow-in-the-Dark Penguin finds love

Glow-in-the-Dark Penguin (today named "Pengui") and I went to get our hair did during the day.  Because we are footloose and fancy free for a whole week!  Woot!  Pengui found a friendly snowperson.

Then Ally gave him a smooch and me a cute short haircut.  Awwww.

7/19 - Froggy's flock of friends

Sorry the picture turned out blurry.  :(  The penguins were friendly, though!

Froggy also made friends with a one-eyed pirate.  Yarrrribbit!

4/19 - Penguin Pete's pitter pat parade

All those little webbies, pitter-patting along...  Waddle, waddle, waddle!  Go, penguins, go!

Penguin Pete went after some fish.

Then the fish (stapler) came after him!  Eeeeeeek!  Squeak!

2/23 - Winter Penguin tries to blend in

The Federal Reserve has shelves of little banks on display. Winter Pengin wanted to play with them, but we're not allowed to play with decorations.

A million thanks to Dana for bringing me a sandwich!  A starving cube veal is a sad thing to see. (Don't tell Winter Penguin it's egg salad!)

We survived 8 meetings today.  Yay us!

10/18 - Crabbity in the Cone Zone

Crabbity found a little fuzzy friend.  Awwww.

9/01 - Pooh and the penguin parade

My silly phone is not sending the pictures to my computer like it's supposed to!  We took this picture in the morning, but it's just now arriving.  Oh, bother.

Michael's friend Tullyger wanted to meet Pooh.  And so he did.

2/22 - Doggie counts

We are on a big penguin kick at our house these days, especially after we got some new penguin toys at a fast food place.  Doggie was so happy to find penguins in one of Mommy's books at work!  Good Doggie.

Doggie also met a new friend.  As you may know, Underdog likes to speak in rhymes.  As do Lil' Guy and Lil' Gal. Fun for everyone.
