3/31 - Goldie wants pets

Yes, she would like scratches behind the ears, but she also wants to take Nancy’s small Chinese dragons home as pets.  I told her dragons do not make good pets.  And Nancy is using them to guard her desk.

12/03 - Beagle barks at the wild mushrooms

What humongous fungus!  I guess we did get a lot of rain this weekend…

Here, Beagle sniffs the new dragon.  This dragon wants peace and harmony for the world.  I wouldn’t mind that myself. Beagle licked his knobbly dragon fingers and the dragon giggled.  

Silly dragon.  Licks are for kids.

11/20 - Bullet did not get the memo about Green Sweater Day

Bullet does not want to be a work of art.  This frilly frame on a building made him feel penned in, so he zoomed away, faster than a speeding bullet.

Then he surprised a dragon, who ran off in fright.

Jeanine and I wore the same thing to work today!  How funny is that?

11/01 - Red Dragon tells Shy Guy to do his best

Red Dragon says, “Be extraordinary in everything you do.”  This means to do a good job whenever you can.

Shy Guy finds fabulous fall flowers.  Look at the pretty pots of flowers Shy Guy and I found.  They smelled pretty, too!

I am using last year's tall ship calendar with an overlay of this year's dates.  When I flipped the tall ship calendar to November, I saw that the HMS Bounty was featured and it broke my heart.  I met her in 2008 at the San Francisco Festival of Sail, and she was quite the lady.  #justsaying

10/01 - Beeper gets flying lessons

Beeper saw these pretty pink flowers and insisted I take a picture of her with them or she’d shine her bright light in my eyes.  OK, Beeper.  Here you go.

This friendly dragon on my calendar wants Beeper to be all she can be.  (I want to be outside in the warm weather, but today is too busy.  Boo.)

9/04 - Pink Yoshi finds a wonder window

Today, Pink Yoshi was seeking success.  This dragon had some ideas about how it’s done.  I did not know dragons were big on teamwork, but you learn something new every day.

This window was set in a very thick wall, and was very dramatic.  We liked it!

We also found a cute Dalmatian for Lil' Gal.

8/23 - Pink Yoshi and the green steam machine

I have no idea what this kind of construction vehicle is, but it seems to have something to do with water pipes and the water tanks that have been sitting around this week.

Pink Yoshi found another pink dragon in the city.  Pink Yoshi said, “My, what a long tongue and sharp teeth you have!”  And then slurped her long Yoshi tongue at it.  Dragons are strange.

4/02 - Trophy says, "I am not a jug!"

This green dragon was on my April calendar.  Trophy thought he was beautiful and needed a prize.

I send a hug to Lil' Guy, who didn’t get one from me this morning.   And I send a big thank you to Lil' Gal for passing on the hug I left with her to Lil' Guy.

We went to the little museum in the building’s lobby, and I put Trophy in the line-up of old bottles and jugs.  She was not amused.  (She has come a long way since January.)

2/06 - Simon's city adventures: from sweet to snarly

Simon saw a bowl of sugar as big as a lake (to him) and wanted to dive in.

We had an after work meeting.  Simon found a "new wave" bus stop, which meant something else entirely to me.  (Ahem. #old)

Here, Simon left his heart in San Francisco -- at City Hall.

He was too polite to howl at then (almost) full moon, but I thought "Someone needs to keep the city crazy."

I was about to howl, but then we saw a big dragon, and we crept quietly to the BART station.

1/23 - Dragon says "Happy New Year" to Koopa Troopa

Koopa Troopa saw the service dog’s uniform and knew not bother him because he was working.  Good boy, Koopa Troopa!

Don’t worry – this is not a scary dragon.  He is happy that it’s Chinese New Year and wants to invite Koopa Troopa to eat moon cakes.

Birthday Party Update:  I survived, despite having the power go out in the midst of my first foray into fondant.   My helpers and I pulled off a great party (thank you!!!), and the twins and their friends had a great time.  Once I wade through all the photos we took, I'll put together a special post so you can be very impressed.  (Or have photographic evidence of my insanity.)
