6/12 - Skeletons love camping

Skeleton tried to climb into this tent, but the people it belonged to screamed and ran away. Poor Skelly.  He’d be so good at telling spooky stories around the campfire.

Skeleton rates that burger a "10." He pretended he had ketchup in his eyes.  I pretended I did not get ketchup on my white shirt.

4/25 - Field Trip!

I am sorry to say that today's post does not include any toys in quasi-adult situations.  What we have here is one adult (me) in a child situation -- with animals!  They count, right?  I volunteered to be a chaperone for the kindergarten field trip to the local nature center.  Here are Lil' Gal and Lil' Guy and their posse.

Here is Ashley, the blind possum.  (Did you know that a possum's "pocket" is vertical, not horizontal?)

We got to pet a nice gopher snake.

And meet the tiniest grown-up screech owl.

And then Lil' Guy lost a tooth to a taffy lollipop.  (Lil' Gal's wiggly tooth is still attached -- she is NOT happy.)

3/04 - Weekend fun: stripped down with animals

This weekend's fun activities involved skate geekery and a field trip with the kiddos.  While others were out partying on Saturday night, the stripping down at my house consisted of me taking my skates apart, cleaning them, and falling asleep.  (I put them back together on Sunday.)

I also learned how to put a bearing back together after all the little beads go flying out.  Skillz, folks.  I have 'em.  (A big shout out to the internet for saving me.)

Sunday, the kids and I went to Kennedy Park in Harward.  We went there last year when it hosted the Zucchini (less) Festival, and wanted to go back and visit the goats at the petting zoo.  So we did.  We also enjoyed the train ride, merry go round, and about 40 different kinds of monkey bars on the play structure.
