11/06 - I went through the desert on a horse with no name

Little Horse and I left our house on a sunny fall day, only to arrive in a cold and rainy city. Boo.

Waiting to cross the street:

Trying to get some water (Doug put him/her on the cup):

Horsing around during a (real) conference call:

On the way home:

10/23 - Bubbles likes a good caprese

Sorry -- this one's out of order. Once I catch up, things will be more chronological. On this day, Bubbles and I ate at our desk.

11/05 - SpongeBob, meet SpongeBob

There was a small kerfuffle this morning when I tried to bring Bubbles to work. Seems she was unavailable. There was then a mad rush to find me a toy to bring to work, and it ended up being (power play by Mama) a rarely used SpongeBob. So be it.

Not at all happy with the proposed design on this conference call:

Chef SpongeBob, meet Pirate SpongeBob:

"Mommy, can we have that pirate SpongeBob? At home?"
Of course. I knew you'd ask.

11/04 - Bubbles goes green

Today, Bubbles is sporting a lovely green "Save the Planet" shirt gifted to her by one of the Met Life Snoopy's. Here we are on the "up" escalator, and later, at Walgreen's.

11/03 - Bubbles is thirsty

And she has a new hairdo. People thought it was ridiculous that she went to the water fountain. They still talk about it, even.

10/29 - Meena rocks work

Background info: Meena is a race car driver. He drives Flash, who is red and fast. Meena is named after a girl the twins met one day on the playground. Meena is tiny and gets lost often.

One day, he came with me to work and pretended he was a pirate. Note the thumbs (?) up!

And then helped me take notes at a (simulated) meeting:

We also had lunch with David:

10/28 - Tiny Gorilla of Controversy

The tiny gorilla was recently unearthed from a toy bin and was received with all the enthusiasm of a brand-new toy, fought over, lost and missed desperately, etc. The day after that, Lil' Boy tucked him in my pocket "so he'll be safe."

"But honey, this pocket is going to work."
"That's OK. He can go with you."

I knew this had the potential of going terribly, terribly wrong, so we talked through it. If Tiny Gorilla was at work, he wouldn't be at home, and were we sure he wouldn't be missed? I was assured it would be fine. Later reports show that it was NOT fine about 15 minutes after I left. Oh well.

Here's what we did at work. Tiny Gorilla played in my Thinking Putty (aka "the muddy") and had lunch with Rosemary. (Noodles! Yum!)

10/27 - That Silly Doug!

This morning, Lil' Girl asked me indignantly, "Where are you going?!"

I told her I was going to work, and she asked if I'd see my work friends there.

When I told her yes, she asked if I'd see "that silly guy."

"Doug?" I asked. (He's my boss, BTW.)

"Yes. He has that big ball! And Bob the Builder! He's so silly!"

Then Lil' Guy said, "Maybe Doug can come to our house! And bring that Bob the Builder!"

So, Bubbles had to go to Doug's office and try to sit on the big exercise ball. The twins thought this was really silly and talked a lot about it with her when she came home. "Did you climb up that ball?! It's really slippery!"

In response to "Where is Mommy?" in the photos, here I am.

10/22 - Piracy for Toys

Today, Bubbles learns that she is more than just a pretty pink face. If only she could write...

10/12 - Introduction

Hello there. It all started when we were dancing around the living room to cowboy songs with our toy horses. I realized I had to leave for work, and put my assigned toy down. Lil' Guy looked at me with big brown eyes. "But you have to take her to work with you!"

From then on, I've been given a toy most mornings to take to work with me. I take some pix of the toy "helping" me and send it home. Interestingly enough, my friends and coworkers have been just as amused by this project as the kids. So, since I'm all about modeling good behavior (when I want to), I will share the joy. Because sharing is what this is all about. Awwww.
