6/28 - Alien Gremlin wonders about Wonder Ice Cream

Wonder Bread does not have much wonder in it, but we'd hold ice cream to higher standards, right?
Gremlin Alien also enjoyed a free lunch (thanks, Raj!)...
... and did *not* enjoy the free cockroach twice his size (thanks, BART!).
The twins wondered what kind of spider this was at Mama's, so we looked it up in our book.  It was a black widow!!

6/27 - Carrot Head is playful

First, he jumped for joy with this boy.
Then, he played Duck Duck Goose with these safety cones.

6/26 - Carrot Head = carrot (on) top

He doesn’t carrot all about heights.  He found a stack of orange things and hopped right up.

6/25 - Carrot Head is more fun than a barrel of monkeys

Or, at least more than the one trapped on a hoodie in the rain.
Speaking of rain, look at the purty clouds!

6/24 - Carrot Head takes a seat

...Or three!
Carrot Head won a medal!  Actually, it’s my medal.  I am sharing.  My loud coworkers made it for me as an appreciation for putting up with them and their shenanigans.  :)

6/21 - Snowman gets all melty

Between the sun and the friends (hi David!) and the leaving one's frosty heart in San Francisco...  It was quite a day.

6/20 - Super Samurai's dubious deviled egg technique

No!  We do not use our swords to slice eggs!
And no masks in the kitchen…  Are those gloves clean?

6/19 - Super Samurai is upside down

Or is it the ship that's upside down?  It's all a matter of perspective.

6/18 - Super Samurai takes necessary precautions

Super Samurai takes safety seriously.
Sheldon and Isabella have some kind of digging project going on.  Look at that!

6/17 - Super Samurai appreciates a nice bouquet

Super Samurai was tempted to use his sword to cut the big pom pom flowers down to size, but we decided to leaf them alone.

6/14 - Prize winning sirens

Lil' Gal's science team won a The 1st Place Medal!  (Lil' Guy may have been slightly jealous.)  Here we are admiring a shiny fire engine.

6/13 - Dad Alien says congratulations! Twice, even!

We met up with the always lovely and newly wed Katelyn for lunch.  Congratulations!

And then, oh my goodness, the twins were finished with first grade!  Just like that!  W.O.W.  Congratulations, my sweeties!  You worked so hard this year.

6/12 - Dad Alien sees a rainbow

Rainbow flowers, to be exact.  Happy pride month!

6/11 - Dad Alien says, "As above, so below."

The workers were up, Dad Alien was down.  (I was taking the photo.  Guess that makes me next to.)
Now Dad Alien wants to be a monster. I think he’d be a good one, don’t you?

6/10 - Strange creatures study Dad Alien

They could not decide who was the alien!
Sheldon (yellow shell) is taking climbing lessons from the new crabs.  Go, Sheldon, go!

6/09 - Derby Tournament and THE MANTIDS HATCHED!

I was off on Friday for a school meeting and to get ready for my team's participation in the Attack of the C Squads tournament.  Here are Disco Brawl and Beryl Belligerent, enjoying some cherry pie with 6 of our fans.
We didn't win any of our bouts (sigh), but we played our hearts out, despite a bunch of incidents that day and the prior week that could easily have kept us home.  Go, TVRG!

Oh, and I jammed!!
And when I got home?  One of the new hermit crabs had escaped *and* the praying mantis egg case had hatched!  O.M.G.

What a weekend!

6/06 - Dad Alien works the smooth

Today on the way to work, we met a monk that gave us a blessing, a shiny gold card, and a special bracelet.  And then shook us down for a donation.  Hrm.

After work, we met our Twitter friend @CheapGirlDraws, who was just as delightful in real life as she is online!  I love it when that happens.

6/04 - Dad Alien wants a new ride

He can’t decide which cute spaceship –er – car he wants to drive.  Which one do you like best?

6/03 - Dad Alien's new vice

This was on the back of a pick-up truck.  Pretty snazzy, eh?
The last time you twins saw Alan (or his husband Will), you were two years old!! It felt like it had been that long since he and I had lunch, so we decided to do something about it.

5/31 - Propeller is stuck (and some happy news)

BART was having problems this morning.  We had to wait 25 minutes for a train, and then they sent us one that was only 4 cars long!  We couldn’t even get on the train.  When we did, about 10 minutes later, it was slow and had to stop a lot of times.  Oh, BART.

Propeller thought some water would be nice on a hot day.  We thought this fountain looked like Propeller’s cousin, water type.
We've got crabs!  Lil' Gal needed a replacement for Herbert (RIP) and Lil' Guy had to have a new crab for parity, so I have adopted Sheldon.  The new crabs are zippy!  And Lil' Gal's (red shell) escaped his cage the very first night.  We may call him (her?) Houdini!

5/29 - Speed Racer #11 joins the circus (and some sad news)

He isn’t bendy like this performer, so he signed up to drive around and around in the big metal ball.
We saw this cool mural last night.  Speed Racer #11 thought it was for the birds.
We are very sad to announce that Herbert the hermit crab is no longer with us.  We wish him lots of juicy grapes, climbing structures, and a play area with many opportunities for escape. RIP, Herbert.  You kept us on our toes.
