6/29 - Super Mario Card tries to punch holes in the fog

It was so cold and clammy on the BART platform this morning. I think his technique worked – it was sunny by lunchtime!
This lady sat next to me on BART and spent the whole ride in organizing a bag of loud, crinkly receipts. It was hard to take a nap with all that going on. I was irritated!
Bad dog! Put down that cable car! Silly puppy. That is not a toy. You are scaring the tourists.

6/28 - How not to throw Luigi under the bus

Luigi was excited to see the same Magic Bus his brother Mario saw when he came to work with Mommy! Now. What to do with a bus full of magic…?
Luigi says, "Itsa pizza!" Here he is, hunkered down with Suzanne, over a delicious pizza. “Molto bene!” he said.

6/27 - Princess Daisy says, "Don't lose your head over it!"

Princess Daisy is as pretty as a flower. (Or she would be if she had a head…)
This building had reflections of the building next door’s windows on it. I liked how they were all pink and wavy, not at all like a real window.
The pub across the street is showing the soccer championship games, and people were crowded inside and outside to watch at lunchtime.

6/26 - Squeaka Mouse finds fashionable friends

Look! Dogs in sweaters! So cute!!!
We got this coupon from someone promoting a new food truck. Maybe we will check it out next week. Who doesn’t like a free cookie?

6/25 - Lego Trophy goes monster shopping

Lego Trophy thought this pretty fire hydrant made the perfect pedestal.
Later, we found some pirate shirts at a shop that was having a “Monster Sale.” Lego Trophy wanted me to buy her a pet monster, but I told her it was only an expression – no monsters were really for sale.

6/24 - Weekend fun: Rainbow wheels edition

I'll be honest.  This weekend was a lot about me and things wheel/derby-related.  On Friday, I had derby practice.  On Saturday, the kids and I played, I cleaned the house a bit, and we went for groceries.  Then, I skated with my team (and others) in the San Francisco Dyke March.

Count Whackula and I arrived shortly before the march was to take place. We couldn't find our group, but skated furiously through the pack --er, crowd-- to get through to the front, where we *did* find our girls!  Then we may or may not have danced on tables, enjoyed burritos, and generally derby grrrled it up.

On Sunday, my teammates and I watched the Gotham vs. Rose City bout with Shadow Soldier and her brother Killa. That was one burly bout! Check out this "Pegassist!"

Care for a bowl of rebellion? Anyone?

6/22 - Pink Penguin haz a happy

This motorcycle guy had a smiley face on his pants leg. How funny! It made Pink Penguin smile too.
Pink Penguin tried to teach Cutie Bird to ice skate. She slipped on the desktop, and Pink Penguin asked, “Are you OK?!” Cutie Bird said, “I meant to do that!”

6/21 - Yoshi learns a wheelie important lesson

This was written on somebody’s bike wheel (upside down!): “Each one teach one.” What will you teach me today?
Another one of those ice cream ads, this time with banana boats. (Lots of banana commentary today, for some reason.)

6/20 - Monkey sends hugs and kisses

We couldn’t remember which were Xs and which were Os, but we send them nonetheless.
Brad and Monkey say "Hello!!" They liked the rooftop garden, but Monkey thought there should be more bananas. I told him not everybody likes bananas, and he told me I was silly.

6/19 - Shy Guy plays king of the coffee

We usually drink coffee from the office kitchen, but when there’s an early meeting, I grab one on the way in. Shy Guy felt so tall up there on this cup!
Whooo is his new friend? A nice owl we met on the way to haircut, that's who.

6/18 - Baby giraffe finds fog and a tall triangle

This BART Police officer was much taller than Baby Giraffe, even when he stretched his neck waaaaay up.
He stretched his neck again, but he still wasn’t as tall as the Transamerica Building. Sweet little Baby Giraffe and his stretch goals…

6/17 - Weekend fun: Mommy's Day edition

This weekend was going to be filled with Pirate Festival and fun, but what we found instead was a heatwave and Lil' Gal with a fever.  We were grounded.
Still, we had fun, and the kids gave me a really special Mommy's Day. Playing with Cloud Dough:
Flowers from the garden for me:
Artwork, a special poster, and two of the best smiles in the world:

6/15 - Fumi and Octopus scream for ice cream

There were two ice cream ads – one flavor for each toy.   Don’t these look delicious?

We sat on the rooftop garden for a while at lunchtime to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. Ahhhh. Fumi and Octopus enjoyed the summer sun(dial). (It’s supposed to be super hot this weekend!)
One of Mommy’s coworkers falls asleep a lot and sometimes snores.  He must have a really boring job.  He didn’t even wake up when we took this picture!  Fumi says, "Naptime is over!"

6/14 - BART has a meltdown and Sneep tries to catch the bus

Between my safety alert lists and my wonderful friends, I became aware this morning that BART was not running.  It was the twins' last day of school and our morning routine does not have minutes to spare, so we kept calm and carried on and got them out the door.  I'd just missed the last morning bus into the city, but there was a chance I could overrun it...  Mama and I hopped in the van and gave it our best, but we did not succeed.
Silver lining?  I got to go to the twins' kindergarten graduation.  Thank you, universe!

6/13 - Sneep drools at the thought of working escalators

Here is a picture of the escalator repairman and the newspaper guy that tries really hard to get me to take a paper every morning.  (Hint:  Smacking it in my face will not help your cause.)
Sneep says hi to you:  "SNEEP SNORP!"

At lunch, Sneep found some tentacle friends.  Do you remember seeing this octopus at the aquarium?  Sneep thought he was another alien at first.
Then Sneep thought the alien in my building’s lobby was so silly for being upside down.

6/12 - Skeletons love camping

Skeleton tried to climb into this tent, but the people it belonged to screamed and ran away. Poor Skelly.  He’d be so good at telling spooky stories around the campfire.
Skeleton rates that burger a "10." He pretended he had ketchup in his eyes.  I pretended I did not get ketchup on my white shirt.
How was Field Day today?

6/11 - Slugina shushes the flowers

They were blooming too brightly for her serious sluggy ears.
Random Monday moment:  I saw a corndog in a ziplock bag at the side of the stairs this morning.  (BART escalator broken again!)  Why??
Slugina was not impressed with these circus tricks.  She waited for someone to pick her up and add her to the stack (she has mad circus skills), but they did not see her. She slimed off in a huff.

6/10 - Weekend fun: Lake edition

This weekend, the twins were under some kind of spell, or perhaps I was being punk'd?  Whatever the reason, I was thrilled, and we had a great time.  We raked the yard and had picnics under the plum tree.
Lil' Gal was finally granted her wish (and mine!) to do the dishes.
We went garage sale-ing and got some new little toys.
And we finally went for a hike at the lake, which was even more gorgeous than anyone suspected.  We liked it so much, we went back on Sunday too!

my flappy baby birds  :)

6/08 - Police Car does the math

Usually, the police make the bad guys line up.  Today, Police Car got in the line-up with the fire engines.  That’s a good line-up!
The sign said “5 Star Parking,” but Police Car only has 3 stars on him.  How many stars does he need to park in that lot?
They threw these monkeys a tea party to celebrate the queen’s jubilee.   I guess going crazy for cupcakes is a universal (multiversal?) thing.
