8/31 - Holy construction, Batman!

Looks like they're repairing a pipe under the street by my work.

Later, Batman was a tourist.  We saw these things in a store window at lunchtime, but my phone only just sent them to my computer!  It's that kind of a day.

8/30 - Peppermint goes for a ride

Today, we only had one meeting!  (But it was all day and took 2 hours of travel time each way.)  Peppermint got to go over the Golden Gate Bridge.

And eat lots of yummy veggies for our lunch!  Jim made a wonderful Bun Thit Nuong (with a veggie version for me).  Definitely the highlight of the day.

8/27 - Snakie slithers through the city

8/26 - Monkey phone -- it's for you

Monkey and I have a lot of meetings today.  He likes my smiley phone.  

Work gave us all free pedometers today.  Very funny.  When will they give us time to walk around?

8/25 - Jolly Jacks

First up, piratey fun with Yellow Jacks.  The pirates did a balancing act on the jacks.  Yar!!!

Then, lots of meetings and busy stuff today at work.  The jacks and I made a pirate face in the "muddy."  Ahoy, mateys!

8/24 - Jacks look for treasure

Doesn't Lil' Guy's picture look nice at my desk?  The blue jacks love it!  (They are riding on a whiteboard eraser.  Whee!!)

Hey!  Now they found Lil' Gal's treasure map!  Har!!

8/23 - Jacks and a cuppa Joe

The jacks and I dropped off our cupcakes at the bake sale and got a yummy scone to have with coffee. 

What did you have for breakfast?

Help the jacks!  This silly tennis ball pretended to eat the jacks, but they are fine. They thought he was silly.

(Mommy has been eaten by a Monday and did not find it silly at all.  Will be home soon.)

8/23 - Flash Mob for Doug

I may complain about meetings (may??!), but one thing I really appreciate about my work is the people I work with.  You have to love coworkers that will do something like this in hopes of putting a smile on That Silly Doug's face.

8/20 - Princess P. and the Pile of Pillows

8/19 - Pineapple phones home

Take a look at this one, kids.  A Public Pay Phone (and Pineapple).  They used to be all over the Place, but now they are very rare indeed.  I thought I'd Photograph this one for Posterity.  (What letter do you see?)

Later, Pineapple spotted a Parking violation.  And a bunch of numbers!  Which ones do you know?

8/18 - Sally the phone surfer

Sally and I had 7 meetings today.  Ick!   *And* my phone was taking photos, but not sending them, until this afternoon.  Funsies!

8/17 - Giraffe is having technical difficulties

Giraffe and I are having a bit of a day...

1. My ATM card is suddenly "not valid."
2. My credit card was declined.
3. My backup credit card is not in my bag.  (Thanks to Linda for lunch [which was missing a fork, of course]!)
4. The FM4D video will not fully load to our web server.
5. My phone does not have sufficient memory to store photos, but it will not let me delete any photos (unless I delete them all at once!).

We apologize for not sending a picture this morning. We'll try to find someone else with a phone camera this afternoon, OK?

Linda helped us with photos!  She is today's hero!

Giraffe misses Ashley, who's traveling this week. (We all do!)  He was snuggling up to her picture.

Then he went for a romp in some flowers.

8/16 - Look out, Pat! She's got you in her sights!

I think she likes Pat's hat.  What do you think of that?

Later, Pat witnessed mass destruction... They are taking down an overpass by work.  One machine drilled away at the big cement post, and the other one clawed at the beams to bring them down.  I have some movies to show you when I get home.

8/13 - We will miss That Silly Doug

Friday was a very sad day at work.  We lost our good friend Doug, whose bright smile and mischievous spirit always made work more fun.  Here are two of my favorite photos of him with the twins' toys.

8/13 - Thomas and the post-modern track to nowhere

8/12 - Snakie sneaks a smile out of Mommy

Have you seen Snakie anywhere?  Snakie???  Hallooooo?

Snakie tried to slither around the city and up a tall building and a utility pole when we went out for lunch.  They were too tall!

8/11 - Dora finds some cute creatures

Awwwww!

Dora says, "Smile!"  She's so cheery, like that.  Do you know how to say "smile" in Spanish?  It's "sonrisa."

8/10 - Giraffe NeNe wants to sail away

The ship was only a decorative tile, but a giraffe can dream, can't she?

8/09 - Baby Giraffe and the Spacewriter 3000

Baby Giraffe had quite the day today!  He started out with a breakfast of healthy, leafy greens.  (I had a large coffee.)

At lunch, he found a number!

David wanted to travel to far-off lands, but he had a meeting.  :(

8/06 - Spider finds something in the water

Two somethings -- an otter and a penguin!  (Bonus:  Spider looks like a big creepy sea creature in these pix.)

8/05 - Piglet and the lunch gone awry

The cafeteria didn't ask what kind of bread I wanted for my grilled cheese sandwich -- they just went ahead and gave me rye!

8/04 - Martha sings, "How much is that cookie in the window?"

Martha (formerly known as "Doggie") and I found the city to be very cold and foggy today.  Brrrr!

At lunch, she sang, "How much is that cookie in the window?"  We got salad, even though Dana suggested the excellent idea of having cookies for lunch...

8/03 - Donkey says, "It's hard to write with a waffle in your mouth!"

The food court by Mommy's work has a spot where it "rains" inside -- kind of like a waterfall, from a pipe waaaaay up on the ceiling.  Donkey thought it was really cool.

Later, Donkey proved to be not such a good note-taker.  Silly Donkey.

8/02 - Wolverine & Hyena find a spectacle dog

I suspect he's friends with that goggle cat...

At lunchtime, we found a big WHEE!  I mean, wheel.
